Aliya Itzkowitz is a champion fencer who held the title of Junior National Champion in Great Britain 2011. She won the silver medal at the NCAA Fencing Championships in 2014.  After graduating with honors in 2016, Aliya took a job in Finance in New York City.  Despite 13-hour work days her love for the sport pulled her back in and she started fencing again. In 2017 she returned to the International stage, earning a Top 32 finish and cementing her place on the British Team. This year, she returns to London where she is looking forward to concentrating on training and working hard towards her Olympic aspirations.
